Hi! I’m Andrea Moreno, a 3D Character Animator with professional experience in shipped indie games. My background combines artistic sensitivity with a strong understanding of the technical side of production. I specialize in gameplay-driven animation, character rigging, and stylized assets, delivering end-to-end character pipelines for games and productions. Passionate about bringing ideas to life
through form and motion.
Over the years I have worked across different areas of the 3D pipeline — including animation, modeling, rigging and environment assets — which has allowed me to develop a versatile profile as both an animator and a generalist. One of my most significant professional experiences has been working on Luma Island with Feel Free Games, where I firstly contributed as a Character Animator but ended up playing a more Generalist role.
During this project I created a variety of props, environmental assets, and decorative elements designed to enrich the different biomes of the game world. This work required not only technical execution but also close collaboration with the art and design teams to ensure visual consistency, gameplay readability, and a cohesive artistic style.
I enjoy working on projects that combine creativity, storytelling, and technical problem-solving. Whether animating characters, building props, or shaping environments, my goal is always the same: to create assets that feel alive and contribute meaningfully to the player’s experience.
I’m constantly learning, exploring new tools and workflows, and pushing my skills further in both animation and game development. This portfolio showcases a selection of the projects I’ve worked on, including professional work and personal explorations that reflect my interests as an artist.
EXPERIENCE
CHARACTER ANIMATOR – FEEL FREE GAMES
Brought the vibrant cast of «Luma Island» and its expansion «Luma Island: Pirates» to life, owning the creative process from initial modelling to final in-game animation for key characters and props.
- Produced 80+ gameplay-focused animations for playable characters, NPCs and a diverse cast of creatures, creating unique idle, walk, run, attack and personality emotes to support storytelling and player feedback.
- Designed and implemented custom rigs in Blender with IK/FK systems optimized for performance in game engines, enabling fluid and appealing movement.
- Modeled and hand-painted textures for characters, props, and environment assets to perfectly fit the game’s stylized and cozy aesthetic.
- Delivered end-to-end work in Blender, taking part on every stage of the art process.
3D ANIMATOR – KILLBUG STUDIO
Contributed to the development of mobile game «Rise of Dominance» as part of a 300-hour professional internship. Focused on building robust character rigs and creating dynamic animation sets tailored for gameplay.
- Built and set up functional rigs for studio-provided 3D character models. Prepared characters for the animation pipeline, ensuring they were ready for seamless gameplay integration.
- Developed complete animation sets designed specifically for gameplay mechanics.
- Delivered fluid, expressive, and functional character movement that enhanced the player experience.
